today sucks

in my last entry I was in shock that they moved my pic from "romantic" to "emotive"...

I asked... they responded, tho the answer didnt make much sense either.

It's true... They are shutting down "Romantic Portraits" saying that people are posting pics in there wrong.

It seems that when they said "Romantic Portraits" they never meant ROMANCE...
They meant romantic as in the time period, and this confusses me because this is a PHOTOGRAPHY category and that wasnt really around durring this period of art. Id guess 99% of the submissions did the same thing I did and assumed it was meant as romance.

So why didnt they just change the description of such a popular group rather than break it down? who knows... I dont really give DA any credit for common sense. Its a place where the talented come to get an ego inflation and the not talented come to feel like they are more than they really are. (not saying which I am... but even I fit into that)

*raises glass* heres to "emotive portraits": the new home of "The Kiss" (till they change their minds again.)

So I logged on to DA today to find that some admin has decided that "The Kiss" was in the wrong sub-section of whatever bullshit classification system DA is ussing now. It was moved from "Romantic" to "Emotive".

Hmmmmm....

This pic has been on the featured art page.
Admin have talked to me about it and like it.

and now... Its moved! I mean... who the fuck is the new guy that up and moved a photo after all that?

I tried to figure out the difference in those sections.
I have no clue! (The way DA does submissions now I cant find the description of what goes where.)

So I tried to figure it out myself, and looked at the top all time in each.

eh... Ok... now Im MORE CONFUSSED THAN EVER!

If any of YOU have an answer I would love it cause I'm at a loss to what EITHER section is at this point!

So not long ago I ran into Kyle and Alex at the club (The two boys from the Kiss photo), although they are no longer together. I got talking with Kyle about the popularity of the photo which is now EVERYWHERE on the net and we decided to do a new photo shoot. So yesterday, we met up and what you now see is the result.

Ok... I've know I been gone from DA for what seems like forever now. Honestly, I didn't know if I would come back at all. It's hard to have been many places on the net now (myspace, quizzilla, You-Tube, ect) and NOT have seen "The Kiss" in use. The fact that people liked my work enough to steal it is NOT, in any way, seen as flattery by me. There is nothing more rude (short of ussing the pics in a proile and CLAIMING to be them... and thats happened more than a few times).

Alas, I'm back. To mark the return, I give you a couple new shots. Jace is amazing as a model and a pleasure to work with. I'd also like to say "Cameron Frost, you piece of shit... yer never gonna shoot him so stop begging him to let you, you dumb fuck!" *clears throat and then smiles* well... all that said... who's ready for new pics and models?
